The power of blogs

with 6 comments

Now they’re screwed… I hope.

A management institution, failing in its PR test 🙂 I can almost hear their castles breaking down. I see irrepairable damage being done. And it all started because of this?! A simple blog entry telling the people some truths…

This also is the first time I’ve heard a blogger in India losing his job because of his blog. That is sad. I feel slightly safe… I write anonymously (and I started today!). But that is not the way to bring about change. If there is one thing in this country that we need, it is change. If we were to compile a list, we’d never be able to finish.

IIPM had had it coming. How long can you fool the people? All those huge banners and full page newspaper advertisements and with no proper credentials? 😀

This is perhaps the first time something like this has happened on a scale like this. And it’ll be interesting how things move forward.

I’ll be watching… watching the power of blogs. And I hope something comes out of it.

There’s a really HUGE list of people writing about it now. One such list can be generated at

  1. The part about people losing their jobs is because the company doesnt want people to disclose any important information or complaing…but the true power of blogs is that now some companies are including in job contracts that the employee cannot have a blog while working the said company. Now thats power! 😛 Nice blog by the way.

  2. Well Well… I haven’t heard that! What next after not being allowed to blog? Not being allowed to email? Email can be an equally potent “weapon”.
Thanks for the comment though. I just got started 🙂

  3. Haha, no problem, i think companies are more worried about their employee’s using blogs because it can seen by a wider audience. hence, me coming across yout blog 😛 e-mail is a bit harder to get to a wide audience unless you mass e-mail countless people, but half the time, that just shows up in spam and gets deleted…
